Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract open to both Adult and NICU-trained candidates.

Details

• Inpatient hospital respiratory therapy setting
• Open to candidates with Adult or NICU respiratory therapy experience
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Respiratory therapy credential required: CRT or RRT
• North Dakota Respiratory Care license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory treatments and physician assistance to adult or neonatal patients
• Identify and communicate significant changes in patient condition to appropriate care team members
• Responsible for transport of infants to and from referral health systems, providing high-quality critical care during transport
• Perform disassembly, cleaning, assembly, and preventative maintenance of respiratory equipment per standard operating procedure
• Complete all documentation including order entry, EMR charting, medication charting, and patient safety/incident variance reports
• Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action per standard operating procedure
• Provide patient and family education and support tailored to individual needs
