About the Role We’re looking for a sharp, energetic problem-solver to serve as the nerve center of our daily operations. As a Real-Time Operations Specialist, you’ll keep the wheels turning—literally. You’ll monitor live operations, communicate with drivers and customers, troubleshoot issues on the fly, and make the quick decisions that keep everything running on schedule. What You’ll Do Coordinate and monitor daily operations in real time, ensuring on-time performance and service quality Communicate proactively with field teams, customers, and internal departments to resolve issues before they elevate Prioritize and reassign resources dynamically as conditions change throughout the day Track key performance metrics and flag trends or concerns to leadership Maintain accurate records of daily activity, incidents, and operational decisions Collaborate with the operations team to improve processes and streamline workflows Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time operational questions and escalations Who You Are A natural multitasker who stays calm and focused when things move fast An excellent communicator—clear, direct, and confident on the phone and in writing Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and follow-through Quick on your feet with strong critical thinking and decision-making abilitiesComfortable with technology and able to learn new systems rapidly Someone who takes ownership of problems and sees them through to resolution Qualifications 2+ years of experience in operations, coordination, scheduling, or a fast-paced support role Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under time pressure Proficiency with standard office software; experience with operations or scheduling platforms is a plus Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred Why Blackwood Blackwood Solutions is one of the fastest-growing logistics and infrastructure services companies in the country, trusted by America’s largest electric utilities to move, store, and manage the materials that keep the grid running.
