At David Kerley’s Shelter Insurance Agency, we take pride in serving Jonesboro and surrounding communities with top-tier insurance solutions and personal customer service. We offer a comprehensive suite of insurance products, including Auto, Home, Life, Renters, Business, Farm, and Recreational vehicles.

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, goal-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Insurance Sales & Customer Service Representative . In this role, you will interact with current policyholders and prospective clients to help them find coverage tailored to their needs.

If you do not currently hold an insurance license, we will help guide you through the pre-licensing process and assist with licensing costs for candidates who demonstrate strong ambition and a passion for helping people.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Provide friendly, prompt, and professional service to current and prospective policyholders via phone, email, and in-person visits.
• Needs-Based Selling: Conduct policy reviews and identify client needs to recommend appropriate coverage across Auto, Home, Life, Renters, and Commercial lines.
• Prospecting & Lead Generation: Build relationships within the community and follow up on warm leads to grow the agency’s client base.
• Policy Management: Assist clients with policy updates, billing inquiries, claims intake, and general insurance questions.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside Agency Staff and the Principal Agent to achieve personal and team production goals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensing: Active Arkansas Property & Casualty (P&C) or Life & Health license is a plus. If unlicensed, willingness to study and pass the required state exams is required.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal presence.
• Customer-First Mindset: Genuine passion for helping community members protect what matters most.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating CRM databases, online quote systems, and standard office software.
• Self-Motivated: Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required (College degree or coursework in business/marketing is a plus).
