The Cashier utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. This position ensures the quality of food presentation. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance.

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00

The Liacouras Center is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose venue located on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. The venue is a full-service sports and entertainment arena featuring Temple University Men's and Women's Basketball, along with a variety of concerts, family shows, meetings, banquets, and more! The largest indoor public assembly venue north of City Hall in Philadelphia at 340,000 sq. ft., formerly known as the Apollo of Temple, The Liacouras Center was renamed and dedicated to former Temple University President Peter J. Liacouras on February 13, 2000.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing transactions.
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low-stock items to the Concession Stand Manager.
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space, including but not limited to disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work area.
• Works in other areas as needed.
• Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the management team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months of experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingness to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers, and guests.
• Strong customer service skills required.
