LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to provide patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment.
• Plan and anticipate safe delivery of patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively.
• Provide supervision of assigned personnel delivering care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with recent LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Oklahoma RN or multi-state RN license.
• Experience with paper charting systems.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
