About the Role:
Arnett Vision Care is looking for a motivated and patient-focused Optometric Technician to join our team in Florence, KY! In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering exceptional eye care experiences by supporting our optometrists and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for every step of the way.
- Perform preliminary patient testing including visual acuity, tonometry, and autorefraction
- Assist the optometrist during comprehensive eye exams and specialty procedures
- Accurately document patient medical histories, chief complaints, and exam findings
- Educate patients on contact lens care, insertion, and removal techniques
- Manage patient flow and prepare exam lanes for appointments
- Support front office staff with scheduling, patient check-in, and insurance verification as needed
- No experience required as an optometric technician
- Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and record-keeping abilities
