Over time, your role will extend beyond being part of their child's education. You will become woven into the experience of this formative period in their family's story.

That depth of confidence is not built through systems. It emerges from presence—regular, steady, unhurried. You will be there during morning arrivals and afternoon departures, at evening gatherings that carry weight, and in private exchanges that rarely appear on schedules. You will cultivate a community families want to safeguard, where inclusion feels natural and word-of-mouth recommendations arise organically from the quality of the experience.

Alpha does not follow the conventional school model. Students complete core subjects in two hours daily through AI-driven applications, dedicating the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical reasoning, and hands-on projects. What You Will Be Doing

• Take full ownership of the relationship with each campus family—the evolving, deepening connection that ensures parents feel recognized, not merely accommodated
• Identify potential concerns before they surface as conversations, resolving them with the sensitivity and interpersonal skill that preserves confidence
• Maintain visible presence in family-facing moments: morning arrivals (7–9am), afternoon departures (2–4pm), evening parent gatherings, and select weekend programming
• Develop a campus culture with authentic richness—programming, rituals, and interactions that foster a sense of belonging families want to defend
• Encourage parent advocacy naturally, designing experiences of such consistent quality that referrals emerge as an inevitable result
• Sustain the dialogue around Alpha's AI-driven model with families managing screen time anxieties, skeptical relatives, and periodic uncertainty—not only during enrollment, but continuously throughout their campus tenure
• Recognize when a family is not aligned with the community and address this with the same care you apply elsewhere—safeguarding the community is integral to supporting it
• Establish the structures and routines this position demands in a setting where operating procedures are still evolving

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Overseeing enrollment processes—that responsibility belongs to the Admissions Director; your work commences once families are onboarded and deepens continuously
• Operating from a desk—your community presence defines the role
• Adhering to standard 9–5 schedules—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening programming are inherent to the position, not occasional
• Relying on administrative infrastructure, formalized procedures, or a complete team—you function with significant autonomy and create what is necessary
• Approaching family relationships as transactional accounts—this role rewards authentic engagement, not procedural adherence

Director Of Community Engagement Key Responsibilities

Serve as the trusted cornerstone relationship in every family's Alpha experience. Maintain their confidence during challenging moments, foster a community where belonging feels purposeful, and establish the environment in which satisfied families naturally become active advocates.

Basic Requirements

• Currently reside within commuting distance of one of these campuses OR willing to relocate within 60 days (preference given to candidates with established local networks): Denver, CO; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Tampa, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Charlotte, NC; Las Vegas, NV; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Dallas (Carrollton), TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston (The Woodlands), TX; Park City, UT; Burlington, VT; Kirkland, WA; or Jackson Hole, WY
• Legally authorized for U.S. employment without sponsorship
• 5+ years in a relationship-focused role serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropy, or any context where discretion, warmth, and interpersonal sophistication mattered as much as competence
• Proven capacity to maintain relationships through challenging moments with sophisticated families and retain trust throughout
• Authentic presence and communication approach that builds confidence rapidly with affluent, demanding families—polished but never rehearsed
• Direct familiarity with independent, private, or alternative education—through professional experience or as a parent—that provides credible perspective when families challenge the model
• Sincere conviction in AI-powered education and the capacity to express that belief authentically across years of parent engagement, not solely during initial enrollment
• Availability for non-traditional hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening events 2–3x monthly, and occasional weekend activities

Nice-to-have Requirements

Exceptional candidates will possess at least one of the following:

• Established connections within the local affluent community that provide an immediate, organic entry point on campus
• Private or independent school background with demonstrated success in family retention and community cultivation—beyond enrollment metrics alone
• Experience managing high-stakes family dynamics where your judgment and discretion were the foundation of sustained trust
• A talent for designing experiences—programs, occasions, settings—that foster a sense of belonging to something people want to protect
• Prior startup or early-stage involvement where you built infrastructure from scratch and maintained composure through rapid change

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
