Our ideal candidate would have medical experience and passion for patient care. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or scribe. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks.ResponsibilitiesWhat You Will Do:Take medical histories and verify informationPerform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopyUtilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurementsInform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issuesDilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye examExplain how to properly use eye drops or other medicationsExplain how to properly use contact lensesAssist with inventory managementQualifications$18-20 an hourPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
