Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care teaching hospital, requiring ARRT CT certification and Siemens equipment experience.

Details

• Acute care, Level 3 trauma teaching hospital setting with 317 staffed beds
• CT Tech unit supporting adult outpatient imaging
• Procedures include head and neck, carotid, chest, cardiac (calcium scoring, coronary angiography), and vascular chest imaging (PE, CTA, aorta)
• Special procedures include Coronary CTA and Vascular CTA
• Equipment used includes Siemens CT scanners
• Charting completed in Epic (Excellian), experience preferred
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Potential to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT required
• ARRT CT and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
• Experience with peripheral IV starts
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety
• Previous travel assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging studies across head, neck, chest, cardiac, and vascular protocols
• Responsible for contrast administration and radiation safety compliance
• Dark grey scrub color required
• Dedicated pre-start training modules required prior to assignment start
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted only for radiology positions; all other positions require candidates to live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment for at least 3 months prior to starting a travel assignment
• Requested time off should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
