This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.What You'll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:This position requires employees to work safely and efficiently in accordance with all Company safety standards. The ability to recognize and distinguish colors and various material types is essential. Strong communication skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.As a valued member of the department, you will be expected to contribute to optimal production performance. Flexibility is important, as this role may involve supporting additional functions as needed, including inventory-related activities and cross-training opportunities across departments.Employees in this position are also responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, and organized work area, upholding good housekeeping practices, and performing other duties as assigned.Coordinates the daily activities of Warehouse Order Processing, Accessories and HoodsAssists in maintaining an uninterrupted flow of orders through the departmentExpedites rush and specialty orders to insure their timely delivery to the customerMakes sure all areas have adequate stock to fill ordersCoordinates the placing of returned apparel back into inventoryLead trainer for new employees, including seasonal warehouse processing staffAssists in line processing, inventory control or accessories areas as neededAssumes responsibility of the department in the supervisor's absenceAssists in inventory control of all finished goods inventoriesCoordinates movement of processed orders to the shipping systemWhat You'll Bring to the Table:Must have adequate computer skillsMust be self-motivatedPhysical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functionsNeeds to have basic working knowledge of Customer Service and Manufacturing Department proceduresAbility to work closely with Manufacturing in requesting product to be made and shipped in a timely mannerAbility to work closely with Customer Service in communication of products and orders that may not meet dates due to outsourcing restrictionsAbility to understand shipping guidelines and restrictionsStrong communication and leadership skillsProficiency with Oracle, Excel, WordStrong organizational skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to select material by quality standards, colors, styles, and shadesMust be able to recognize colors and different cloth stylesAbility to work under pressure and against deadlinesAbility to work independently with minimum supervisionJob may require lifting to, but not exceeding 30 poundsPositive AttitudeAbility and willingness to accept and adapt to an ever-changing environmentMust be able to work all mandatory overtimePhysical Requirements:Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twistingReading, communication, mathWorking at a computer for extended periods of timeAbility to regularly lift/move up to 50lbsNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate to aboveHerff Jones, Inc. and its affiliates are equal opportunity employers and maintain affirmative action plans to recruit, retain, develop, and promote qualified individuals without unlawful consideration of race, gender, gender identity, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, citizenship status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
