Server/BartenderThe Server/Bartender is the representative of ISS Guckenheimer. He/she is responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of pantry offices or executive dining rooms within the guidelines established by the client organization and the corporation. They are further responsible for providing the highest professional standards.Success criteria:Be able to anticipate customer needs, deliver on those needs, and exceed expectationsIdentify service deficiencies and communicate effectively with managers before they become long-term issuesDemonstrate customer hospitality and service standards by providing excellent one-on-one customer serviceBe reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfill obligationsEnsure full compliance with Allergen PolicyEnsure full compliance with Alcohol Awareness PolicyKey areas of collaboration and influence:Ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and interact with all customers to help build and speak about the culture of Guckenheimer/ISSDevelop and maintain good relations with cooks, servers, porters, and managersGreet, smile, make eye contact, and make customers feel welcomeIdeal candidate experience:Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in fine dining and executive-level serviceAbility to describe food menus and the preparation of a variety of nonalcoholic and alcoholic drinksKnowledge of food principles and processes for providing customer serviceKnowledge and skill in standard fine dining service techniquesMust be able to work cooperatively with all co-workers, treating them with courtesy and respect alwaysMust act professionally to set an example for all others, even when acting in the capacity of a wait personMust be able to take and organize reservations, use proper phone etiquette, and assign proper seating arrangements as neededAttention to detailPrior knowledge of dining electronic/POS systemsPrevious bartending experience preferred.Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and bar equipment.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.Key accountabilities:To comply with all SERV Safe and HACCP programs and principlesRespond to customer concerns professionally and urgently per company policyMust follow all safety rules and be actively aware and observant in the prevention of accidentsCommitment to the service values and ethics per company's standardMaintains all rooms presentation and sanitation standardsSubstitute for or assist other pantry employees during emergency or rush periodsCoordinate with guests to record drink and food ordersMaintain inventory of beverage and food merchandise, ensuring it is fully stock throughout the dayAssist internal and external guests, place requests and answer inquiries in a friendly mannerEnsure proper delivery of orders according to specific timeframesAdminister efficient delivery of food and drinks to the dinner table to ensure good dining servicesPerform side work and end of shift closeout tasksProvide exceptional table service to our customers and maintain the table appearancePortion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to patronsEnsure food service set up is clean, neat, and attractive while following the company's guidelinesCompletion of additional cleaning and dishwashing assignments.Must follow other duties as assignedPhysical demands & work environment:Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaksMust be able to lift a minimum of 25lbsCome to work properly dressed according to the dress codeEmployees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periodsHSEQ compliance: All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
