Shift: Thurs, Fri, Sun 6:45a-7:15p, 36 worked hours per week (three 12.5s). Some holidays required. Position may be eligible for shift and weekend differentials. The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing patient arrivals patient registration resolution of patient complaints collection and verification of demographic information and insurance/payer source information and correction of registration errors collection of patient-responsibility payments at time of service (copays, co‑insurance, self‑pay estimates) maintain HIPAA compliant and comply with all UKHC policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Customer service oriented Possess patient registration and health insurance knowledge Ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Solid time management, critical thinking, follow‑through, and planning and organizational skills High level of respect for confidentiality Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
