Labor & Employment Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Labor & Employment Associate to join the Labor & Employment practice of a leading Am Law firm in either Los Angeles or San Francisco. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong California employment litigation experience who is interested in working on complex matters in a collaborative and dynamic practice.The role provides the opportunity to manage employment disputes in both state and federal courts while working closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated litigation matters.ResponsibilitiesHandle a variety of employment litigation matters in California state and federal courtsDraft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documentsConduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategyManage case development and litigation strategy, including coordinating discovery and case deadlinesParticipate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparationCommunicate with clients regarding case developments and strategic considerationsCollaborate with attorneys and litigation teams to ensure efficient case management and successful outcomesQualificationsMinimum 3 years of California employment litigation experienceExperience managing matters in California state and federal courtsStrong case management and legal research skillsExcellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication abilitiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentJ.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentialsActive admission to the California BarCompensation & BenefitsThis position offers competitive compensation consistent with top Am Law market rates, with an anticipated salary range of approximately $250,000–$375,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
