BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Care Occupational Therapist Pool/PRN who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, part of BayCare Health System, is a 222-bed, not-for-profit community hospital located in New Port Richey, Florida. Established in 1965, the hospital has a long-standing commitment to serving the West Pasco community, providing high-quality, compassionate care close to home.
Acute Care Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities and limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and adaptive equipment training.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and case managers.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve independence and safety at home.
- Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.
Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- OT (Occupational Therapy)
- Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
- Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy
- Preferred 1-year Occupational Therapy

Weekend Work: Occasional
