Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit, focusing on post-surgical care. The role requires flexibility with floating duties and adherence to unit-specific protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid NY RN license, current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least one year of hospital nursing experience, successfully documented travel experience, valid drivers license matching demographics, and an updated resume demonstrating two or more years of relevant experience in medical-surgical nursing and travel assignments. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system: EPIC.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in post-surgical care including diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). Familiarity with specialty equipment such as IV pumps, nasogastric (N/G) tubes, and feeding tubes.
• Additional Information: Floating requirements are necessary; unit-specific patient demographics include adult post-surgical care with common diagnoses and the use of specialized equipment. Candidates must include the RTO (Request Time Off) at the time of submission and provide a valid NY license and NURSYS report for license verification.
