Naval Systems Engineer II: TDPs, Drawings & ECPs

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a System Engineer II in Virginia Beach, VA . This position is to provide research and development, and engineering efforts to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck (NSWCDD) initiatives. Job Description Provide support to develop and maintain engineering, technical, and configuration documentation for technical data package (TDP) elements and change control documentation. Control and monitor engineering drawings that are included within TDPs. Maintain government approved drawing repositories Updated engineering drawings per requests from manufactures, OEMs, and/or other government departments. Updated and monitor drawings schedules to ensure milestones are met Provide support in the development, tracking, and processing of Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Problem Reports related to the SSDS MK 2 project Support. Qualifications Must have a Engineering degree from an ABET accredited school and at least 3 plus years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems. Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel). Must be able to support on-site tasking at Dam Neck Annex Base Desired Qualifications Experience working with AutoCAD and Inventor, preferred. Experience with Navy Data Environment (NDE), preferred. Security Requirements Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and base access requirements. Travel Requirements Less than 10% If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
