Description

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager on our growing Solar market team. This is an opportunity to join Westwood's highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality professional services to our clients.

In addition to scope, schedule, and budget management, the Project Manager is the primary client contact for projects: building lasting relationships across the industry, generating repeat work, and providing guidance for successful project execution.

Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering or related professional services consulting experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive engineering and permitting projects. The Project Manager also provides leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Manage stakeholder relationships (internal and external).

* Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

* Develop and implement project plans and schedules, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.

* Oversee project work and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.

* Track project health and take corrective action when necessary.

* Manage uncertainty and change, such as scope creep and change orders.

* Ensure timely invoicing and accounts receivable collection.

What You'll Bring:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or project management related field

* 2-6 years of experience in a project coordinator, project manager, or similar role

* Professional licensure in a technical field, PMP, or related certification (or ability to obtain)

* Strong organizational and time management skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment

* Proficiency in project management software and tools

* Attention to detail

* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

* Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies

* Track record of successfully winning and delivering projects

* Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work and qualification packages

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

* Experience in engineering consulting.

* Experience in the solar energy industry.

* Experience managing complex, multi-service projects.

* Experience with program management.

* Experience with contracting and risk management.

* Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

* Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
