Description Pittsburg Tank and Tower Group Job Description FORKLIFT OPERATOR Job Summary: The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the loading and unloading materials and deliveries and move them to storage areas, machines and loading area. Job Duties: • Load and unload materials up to 40' in length constantly(certain occasions up to 50') and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places • Locate and move stock of products to pallets for storage or shipment • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies • Transport raw material to production workstations • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities • The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Qualifications: • Proven experience as forklift operator • Must follow safety rules, regulations, and safe job procedures • Complete company training • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination • Valid certification to operate forklifts • High school diploma or GED Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts consistent with a fabrication shop environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to changing weather conditions and working at moderate heights. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group is an equal opportunity employer.
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Work Hours: 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
