Maintenance Worker

Job Opportunities The Town of Lexington is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Worker in the Parks and Community Services Department. Under regular supervision, performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and equipment. Performs routine building maintenance and custodial work as required. Schedules and performs required repair work or parts replacement. This position will work with Town personnel, contractors, vendors and the general public to ensure the efficient operation of Town Hall and Town owned facilities. Will operate a computer and an assortment of equipment and machinery in the performance of daily activities, including electrician's tools, plumbing tools, mechanic's tools, carpentry tools, various meters, janitorial equipment, etc. The position requires a vocational/technical college diploma in relevant building trade(s) supplemented by up to one year of experience in facility management and repair work, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver's license.
