The Business Operations team helps guide and articulate technology strategy and research, and is responsible for driving the day-to-day operation of the Product & Technology organization, including: project and portfolio management and tracking; organization-level capital, space, and resource management and allocation; process management; technical incident management; and our administrative and workplace experience support team. This is a Lead Technical Program Manager (TPM) position within the Product & Technology (P&T) Technology Enablement Alliance (TEA). The Lead TPM will play a leadership role in the delivery and enhancements of services and tools within the Cloud Engineering and Cloud Account Management teams. The Cloud Engineering team is an extremely technical team that provides frameworks and automation for the self-service of cloud infrastructure within guardrails, including Infrastructure-as-code and Terraform Enterprise. The team also provides core utility services and tooling to facilitate the monitoring and remediation of infrastructure.Responsibilities:A Lead Technical Project Manager (TPM) within Developer Platform Engineering reports to the DPE PMO while partnering with the engineering managers for their teams; our TPMs play a critical role in structuring and executing impactful cross-org initiatives. You will have the opportunity to refine our processes around delivery while building a sense of community and engagement within our talented group of engineers. TPMs within DPE have a high degree of technical literacy and a desire to learn more, both within their teams’ product space and across the DPE department.You Will Also:Drive and delivery high profile, cross org impacting efforts for multiple engineering teamsEnhance stakeholder relationships, understanding and dialogue.Enhance team throughput by removing roadblocks and leveraging organizational resources while helping to drive teams towards commitmentsFoster cross-team coordination and communicationAssist with estimation and planning of team resourcing, in conjunction with engineering team managerIdentify, maintain, and visualize metrics to guide the project lifecycleLead agile ceremonies for two teams of highly skilled engineersDevelop fundamental technical understanding of the tools and services vended by your teamsQualifications:7+ years of track record creating and growing trusting, lasting professional relationships with diverse stakeholders, maturing team’s current engagements and advocating for future work.Demonstrable experience managing technical projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, developing and executing project plans and delivery commitments.Deep rooted passion and proven track record building motivated and collaborative teamsDetail oriented and excellent communication skills; ability to follow technical discussions and absorb technical documentation Experience working with distributed teams and/or distributed organizationsWorking understanding of AWS and cloud based development and a desire to know moreBachelor’s degree requiredPreferred QualificationsExposure to modern DevOps and SRE practices around CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Availability, Terraform Enterprise solutions, etc.Experience with containers/microservices in highly scalable cloud based applicationsKubernetes and/or AWS ECS experienceExperience as a software engineer, including exposure to Java or Scala The hiring range for this position in California is $155,700 to $208,700 per year and in Seattle, WA and New York is $163,100 to $218,700. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
