HR Generalist - Contract

Temp HR Generalist

Burnett is currently partnering with a great Regional Transportation and Warehouse client in Round Rock. They have an immediate need for a Temp HR Generalist to provide hands-on HR support during an employee leave of absence. This is an onsite position for approximately 30 hours per week for up to three months.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as a day-to-day HR resource for employees and managers.
• Support pre-hire requirements, onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding.
• Assist with employee relations, performance issues, corrective actions, and related documentation.
• Administer employee benefits, 401(k) processes, leaves of absence, and employee communications.
• Coordinate workers' compensation, occupational accident, accident/injury claims, unemployment matters, and related documentation.
• Maintain employee files and required employment and compliance records.
• Assist with TSA-related compliance, training, credentialing, and required documentation.
• Support benefits renewal and open enrollment.
• Assist with HR policies, compliance, reporting, and independent contractor administration.
• Provide other general HR administrative support as needed.

Desired Experience

• 3–5+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience preferred.
• Experience with employee relations, benefits administration, leave administration, onboarding/offboarding, and HR compliance.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and handle confidential employee matters appropriately.
• Experience supporting hourly and operational employees preferred.
• Transportation or similar industry experience is a plus.
• SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus but not required.

• Temporary assignment of up to three months
• Approximately 30 hours per week
• Onsite at Round Rock office (78665 zip)
• Salary Range: $35 - $42/hr, DOE
