Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a real impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher working with a dynamic dropout recovery and prevention program tailored for opportunity youth aged 15–21. The program offers a flexible, self-paced curriculum and robust career tech training to empower students to earn their high school diplomas and transition to meaningful, sustainable employment. You’ll work within a contract position running from August 3, 2026, through June 25, 2027, at 40 hours per week—plenty of time to build meaningful connections and help students unlock their full potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher (Ohio credentials preferred)
• Experience supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Knowledge of IEP processes and accommodations
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction and classroom management
• Commitment to equitable, student-centered education for youth with nontraditional academic journeys

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, inclusive instruction adapted to varying needs and learning styles
• Develop and implement individualized education plans, collaborating with colleagues and families to ensure student success
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages belonging, resilience, persistence, and growth
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional progress through evidence-based interventions
• Monitor performance, maintain records, and communicate regularly with multidisciplinary teams
