Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation. Recover heart caths (femoral/TR bands), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, drip management (cardiac-cardizem, amio, etc., other-heparin, lasix, protonix, etc.). CBI, detox/CIWA protocol experience, central line care.

Required Credentials: Travelers required to pass Tele test. Associate’s Degree or Certificate.

Unit/Facility Details: Patient Population: Post cardiac procedure (heart cath, ablation, pacemaker), A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/CBI/renal biopsy, behavioral health/detox. Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
