SPECIAL EDUCATION CI TEACHER (K-12)

Location: Center Line Public Schools Salary: $48,252-$75,969/In Accordance with the CLEA Master Agreement Reports to: Building Administrator

NOTICE OF 2026/2027 VACANCY

Qualifications: A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. K-12 Special Education Endorsement. CI Experience Understanding of a variety of student disabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of IDEA and MDE regulations for educating and assessing students with disabilities. Preferences: Cognitive Impairment (SA), Emotional Impairment (SE), Learning Disabled (SM), or Autism (SV) endorsement. Knowledge of corrective reading and corrective math. Knowledge of NWEA test administration and interpretation. Essential Functions: Identify, instruct, and implement accommodations for students with disabilities. Implement student tiered intervention. Differentiate the Common Core/Michigan Standards for students with disabilities. Ability to use assistive technology. Ability to differentiate instruction. Timely manage and organize IEP's. Administer special education assessments. Keep proper forms and update records as required by the District and the State. Consult with staff and parents regarding caseload students. Work with students with varying educational disabilities. Assist with the accommodations and modifications for state wide testing. Develop and implement functional Behavior Analysis (FBAP) and behavior Intervention Planning (BIP). Coordinate with other district ancillary staff members on behavioral plans. Participate in professional development training and school related activities as assigned. Adherence to the Core Competencies for Success (click here to view attachment).
