Software Development Engineer II

Joining the Offline Search team as a full-time Software Development Engineer II, the candidate will design, code, and optimize core search algorithms for on-device execution, ensuring high-speed query resolution in mobile and automotive applications operating without network connectivity. Key responsibilities Design and optimize core search algorithms tailored for on-device execution under strict resource constraints Take ownership of offline data delivery systems, implementing advanced tile compression techniques and efficient delta update pipelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data processing pipelines and maintain parity between cloud and offline search products Required qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Strong proficiency in C++ with a solid understanding of memory management and systems-level programming Experience with Python or other scripting languages for tooling and data processing Proven experience in analyzing and optimizing code for performance-constrained environments Familiarity with data structures, algorithmic efficiency, and data compression techniques like Zstd
