Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor, this position involves planning and organizing the functions required to operate and maintain the activities and services of the Medical Imaging department. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and involves a range of radiology functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with radiology functions including planning and department policy development.
• Ensure compliance with tribal, state, federal laws, policies, and regulations.
• Operate all fixed and portable radiographic systems for Diagnostic Radiology and CT services.
• Ensure accurate documentation and patient safety measures.
• Coordinate exams with other modalities for departmental efficiency.
• Maintain accurate patient log documentation and initiate incident reports.
• Assist with quality and safety programs and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Maintain inventory control and equipment maintenance records.
• Teach and cross-train staff and students on radiology and CT operations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree or certification preferred.
• Two (2) years progressive work experience in Radiology.
• Certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
• Arizona Department of Health Services license as a Certified Radiologic Technologist and Computerized Tomography Technologist.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
