This position contributes to engineering projects of increasing complexity, applying technical expertise to improve product performance, manufacturability, and reliability while supporting business objectives.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and engineering organizations to deliver innovative solutions and ensure engineering excellence throughout the product lifecycle.As an Engineering Professional – Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for:Supporting product development, sustaining engineering, design, and R&D activities across mechanical engineering projectsPlanning and conducting research, design, and development activities for standard engineering assignmentsApplying engineering techniques to solve technical challenges and develop sound design recommendationsEvaluating engineering results for applicability, validity, and conformance to specifications and requirementsContributing to projects with moderate impact on product cost, performance, manufacturing methods, and standardization effortsAssisting in project planning, execution, and technical reviews to ensure successful project deliverySupporting larger projects or leading smaller projects under appropriate supervisionHandling special engineering assignments and driving solutions that require creativity and technical judgmentCollaborating with other engineering disciplines, support organizations, and suppliers to ensure successful integration and executionProviding guidance and work direction to less experienced engineers and technicians when requiredContributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering processes, quality, and product performanceFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have a Bachelor’s Degree in EngineeringHave foundational technical expertise with experience in mechanical simulations and 3D modelingDemonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindsetPossess effective written and verbal communication skillsHave basic project management skills and the ability to support multiple prioritiesDemonstrate the ability to work independently while building strong peer relationships across functionsBe action-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, ethics, and customer focusShow the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world product and design challengesBe comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment while taking ownership of assigned tasksWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. The employer is unable to sponsor work authorization for this role at any time.The annual pay scale for this position is between $72,140.00 - $133,930.00.Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits.
