Shipping Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Shipping/Receiving Supervisor (Frozen/Cool)The position of Shipping/Receiving Supervisor (Frozen/Cool) will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day shift activities of the warehouse frozen/cool side, including general warehouse functions, inventory tracking and support of production. This position will report to the Shipping and Receiving Manager.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Management of inbound receipts and outbound freight.Review Bills of Lading and orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.Inventory accuracy and efficient management of warehouse area.Assist in maintaining accuracy of inventory levels.Supervise the daily operations of Shipping and Receiving staff in an efficient and cost-effective manner.Interface with scheduling and production activities.Oversee the implementation of the Shipping and Receiving Dept. SOP's.Maintain and support on-going training programs.Ensure that all employees maintain a clean and safe working environment following all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.Generate Bill of Ladings for shipments.Perform inventory audits as needed.Pull finished products as required to fill orders, as well as rotating productsOther duties please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities.Supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.Excellent written and oral communication skillsComputer proficientDetailed knowledge of the entire manufacturing processAbility to problem solve, multi-task, and communicate effectively with both subordinates as well as senior managementRequired skills/abilities:Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization.
