Details Acute Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Cares for patients with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and some med-surg overflow Manages cardiac drips (excluding nitrate administration) Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Uses EPIC EMR Requirements Active RN license in Louisiana or compact required BLS certification from AHA required ACLS certification from AHA required BSN preferred 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred Additional Information Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and effectiveness Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided Provides patient and family education based on identified learning needs Ceil blue scrubs required as part of dress code Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for local pay eligibility Returning employees or travelers who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment Temp-to-perm opportunity possible American Traveler Job ID P-750590.
