Human Resources Coordinator

JSW Steel is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team!
The chosen individual will plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for coordinating and administering critical HR processes, with a primary focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, employee records management, HR analytics, and employee engagement initiatives.
The HR Coordinator partners closely with the HR team and business leaders to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and candidates and contributes to initiatives that support organizational growth, workforce development, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support employee relations activities and collaborate with HR team members across multiple functional areas.
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate communications.
- Track candidate progress throughout the hiring process and ensure hiring activities align with approved staffing plans and headcount requirements.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, physical examinations, and employment documentation.
- Manage and facilitate onboarding activities, including new hire orientation and integration into the organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely updates within the UKG Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Organize, maintain, and audit personnel files and HR documentation to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Leverage HRIS tools and reporting capabilities to enhance the candidate and employee experience.
- Support performance management processes, including performance review administration and tracking.
- Assist with employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and activities that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Generate, analyze, and present workforce metrics and HR reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support HR projects, process improvements, compliance initiatives, and other departmental priorities as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives and the overall employee experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum one (1) year of Human Resources experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced data analysis functions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and customer-service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Human Resources functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with UKG or comparable HRIS platforms.
- Experience creating dashboards and workforce analytics using Power BI.
- Knowledge of recruiting best practices, employee relations, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
