about this role

as a host, you're the first impression of wagamama - the warm welcome, the calm in the rush, and the connector who sets the tone for the entire guest experience. you'll greet guests with energy and intention, manage the flow of the restaurant. hosts are essential to smooth service and strong teamwork, helping both guests and teammates have an experience worth returning for.


what you'll do

• welcome guests with warmth, confidence, and genuine hospitality

• create a memorable first impression while managing seating + waitlists

• communicate wait times clearly + proactively to guests

• support smooth service by coordinating with servers, managers, and kitchen teams

• fill takeout orders for walk ins + online guests with accuracy + care

• work alongside teammates to complete side work

skills + qualifications

• prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred

• OpenTable experience preferred (but not required - we'll teach you!)

• strong communication and phone etiquette

• positive attitude, team first mindset and willingness to jump in where needed

• availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

physical requirements

• ability to stand and walk for long periods
• ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• ability to move quickly and safely in a crowded environment
