Analytics & Data Science Lead

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and at least 7 years of experience in advanced analytics or data science; alternatively, a PhD and at least 3 years, a masters degree and at least 5 years, an associates degree and at least 9 years, or a high school diploma and at least 11 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools, languages, and frameworks such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and presenting complex technical documentation, analytical findings, and executive presentations to stakeholders.
• Preferred: Masters degree or PhD in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Preferred: Experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise data environments.
• Preferred: Practical knowledge of cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization technologies.
• Preferred: Experience with MLOps frameworks, DevSecOps pipelines, and deploying AI/ML models into production.
• Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and occasionally move around the office to access equipment and files.
• Must frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with coworkers, management, and customers, including through presentations.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools to address complex operational challenges.
• Direct data science projects throughout their life cycle, from gathering requirements and extracting data through feature engineering, model training, and performance monitoring.
• Work with technical teams, data engineers, and stakeholders to turn data insights into strategic, evidence-based decisions.
• Set best practices for data governance, model validation, and reproducible analytical workflows across data environments.
• Manage individual analytical assignments and mentor team members, ensuring technical work meets customer objectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automated pipelines, and emerging data science technologies to improve operational efficiency.
