Job Title: Assembly Lead

Job Description

The Assembly Lead oversees daily operations on the assembly line, coordinating team members to meet production targets while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role focuses on organizing workflow, supporting continuous process improvement, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-structured manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate assembly line team members to ensure daily production targets are met.
  • Organize and assign tasks to team members to maintain an efficient workflow across the assembly line.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure all products meet established quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assembled products and processes to identify defects or non-conformances.
  • Promote and enforce a safe work environment by following and reinforcing safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Use mechanical knowledge and hand tools to support assembly operations and troubleshoot basic equipment or assembly issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Support problem management by addressing production issues promptly and coordinating solutions with the team.
  • Provide day-to-day supervisory support, including guiding, coaching, and supporting team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with manufacturing standards.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working in an assembly, production, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven supervisory skills with the ability to lead and manage a team on an assembly line.
  • Strong team management capabilities, including task delegation and performance oversight.
  • Experience maintaining quality standards within a manufacturing or assembly setting.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and commitment to promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with mechanical components and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools in an assembly or production context.
  • Ability to perform product and process inspection to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  • Problem management skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve production issues.
  • Experience in process improvement within a production or assembly line environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and standards.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Exmechanical assembly or related technical fields is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with structured production processes and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to work extended shifts and adapt to production demands.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role is based at a manufacturing site within an assembly line environment. The position follows a Monday through Saturday schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with significant overtime opportunities depending on production needs. Work involves hands-on tasks with mechanical components and regular use of hand tools, as well as inspection and quality checks along the assembly line. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with a strong emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to manufacturing standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Wagoner, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $35.00/hr.
