Job Details Job Title: Lead, Systems Project Engineer Job Code: 37184 Job Location: Carlsbad, CA; San Diego, CA Job Schedule: 9/80 – employees work 9 out of 14 days totaling 80 hours and have every other Friday off Responsibilities Lead and partner with Product Management and Program Managers throughout all stages of product development, including initial concept design, development, integration, qualification testing, and production release. Serve as the main technical interface for customers. Develop detailed program plans including schedules, resource forecasts, and risk assessments. Lead all technical aspects of a project to ensure quality and timely delivery. Coordinate and review work by engineers, technicians, manufacturing, vendors, and subcontractors. Proactively identify and remove roadblocks to help the team progress. Address technical gaps by providing expertise or coordinating discussions with subject matter experts. Maintain effective communication between the development team and stakeholders. Develop and review technical documentation, including interface control documents, operation/maintenance guides, test plans, schematics, and system diagrams. Participate in technical feasibility decisions. Assist with hands-on integration, test, and debug in a lab environment. Travel up to 10%. Eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; Graduate Degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience. 3 years of experience leading and interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams using systems engineering tools and resources. Preferred Additional Skills Experience in board and system-level troubleshooting, including root cause analysis and corrective action reporting. Proficiency in understanding schematics, evaluating CCA layout and routing, and interpreting component data sheets. Keeps knowledge of various test methodologies up to date. Experience using PLM tools such as Teamcenter (change orders, part releases, etc.). In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $127,500 - $236,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
