Tax ManagerPermanent Midstates Executive Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and planning for our clients. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.Key Responsibilities:Manage and review tax returns for a variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trustsDevelop and implement tax planning strategies for clients to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefitsResearch and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax savings opportunitiesProvide guidance and support to clients on tax-related matters, including responding to inquiries and resolving tax issuesReview and analyze financial statements and other relevant documents to accurately calculate tax liabilitiesTrain and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality work and professional developmentStay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide timely and accurate advice to clientsCollaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless tax processes and complianceAssist with tax audits and communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients, if necessaryContinuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline tax processesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA license preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a public accounting firmStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in tax software and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with international tax is a plusAbility to work independently and in a team environmentWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
