Material Handler

Material HandlerPrimary Objective of Position: The Material Handler I will supply lines with raw materials and move unfinished goods through the manufacturing process utilizing a forklift.Primary Job Responsibilities:Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of required PPE.Operate a stand up and LP forklift safely.Supply raw materials where needed in the production process.Maintain kit carts where applicable.Facilitate movement of product through the production process.Adhere to receiving procedures.Demonstrate knowledge of parts and home locations.Manage and consolidate inventory in stockroom and other areas as directed.Maintain appropriate varnish levels when working in CV.Safely operate various industrial ovens when working in CV.Participate in physical inventory activities.Utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds.Meet established efficiency and productivity standards.Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.Additional or updated duties as business demands change.Qualifications:Ability to complete requirements for Forklift Certification.Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong time management skills.Good organizational skills.Work well with a variety of people.Must Haves:Forklift operation experience/certification (stand-up and LP forklift preferred).Stand up Forklift experience is requiredWarehouse/manufacturing and material-handling experience, including inventory and receiving.Ability to lift/handle up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.Good communication, organization, time management, and safety awareness, with flexibility for overtime and Saturdays.
