Medical Office & Billing Instructor

Position Description:
Delta College of Arts and Technology is seeking a motivated and highly student-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Medical Office & Billing Instructor for our Lafayette Campus.This could be a terrific opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with our students training to develop their careers. The college offers training for all faculty staff and a comprehensive benefits package for all full-time staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Learning and adapting the course curriculum,
Setting out lesson plans,
Mentoring students and providing additional support when needed,
Overseeing examinations and final practical tests,
Providing course feedback to the Director,
Maintain accurate and up-to-date classroom records.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience in a Medical Office setting performing Medical Billing & Coding duties.
Diploma or AOS in Medical Billing & Coding, or comparable education.
Certification is preferred, but not required.
Teaching experience is a plus, however not required.All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
