Product Specialist

Overview Summit provides independent insurance agents and their clients with market‑leading workers’ comp insurance and elite customer service. We serve more than 7,000 independent agents and 31,000 policyholders across the South, Midwest, and Mid‑Atlantic states. Responsibilities Lead or support development and implementation of new projects supporting growth initiatives, regulatory filings, policy language, endorsements, and underwriting procedures. Ensure legal review, form control, system updates, and change management with key stakeholders. Collaborate with underwriting, product, compliance, and distribution teams to resolve escalated issues and align on risk strategies. Work with actuarial and claims teams to design insurance solutions and develop product specifications, pricing strategies, and policy language. Participate in product and rate revisions, underwriting guidelines, manuals, and procedures for new and existing territories. Partner with marketing, business development, IT, and operations to support product launches and ongoing support. Develop and present training on new products and changes to internal teams and external agents. Stay updated on industry changes, regulatory updates, and market shifts to keep the product strategy competitive. Interpret and apply company guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of nine years of related underwriting, technical, or product experience. Advanced technical knowledge of the workers compensation line of business. Strong understanding of industry laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Strong analytical skills and data‑driven decision‑making. Customer‑centric mindset and decision‑making ability. Work Location Office: Lakeland, FL.
