Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
• Perform cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active medical license in the state of Idaho
• Strong surgical skills and experience in vascular surgery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred

Schedule: 24-hour call (7a-7a), specific dates

Required Procedures: Open hearts, CABGs, and aortic dissections 

Must be competent to cover any adult cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgical case

Rounding required

Support Staff: First-assist, two surgical techs, one RN circulator, anesthesiologist, ICU nursing, and step-down nursing

EMR: Meditech

Board certification required
