Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 Years of experience with recent Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing experience required. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted. Description: Cath Lab RN position for days, 40 hours per week. On-call is required. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience with recent Cath Lab and Interventional scrubbing experience. Rotating days are needed from Monday to Friday. The unit has 2 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid OR. The patient population primarily includes adults and geriatrics. Common procedures performed in this unit include IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, Structural procedures, PFO, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman. Required equipment includes GE Innova IGS, Phillips, GE MacLab, EPIC, IVUS, and FFR. On-call coverage may involve up to 13 weekdays as needed from 5 PM to 6 AM, Monday to Thursday. Weekends and holidays are also required, with specific on-call coverage. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated, and special scheduling requests should be submitted with the time-off request at the time of application. Candidates must be comfortable floating and must adhere to unit compliance policies. Travelers are expected to complete necessary compliance standards before the start date. Candidates must possess skills in monitoring procedural sedation, intravenous infusion, and interventional catheterizations, among others. The position also requires the ability to place/remove IABP, manage antiarrhythmics, and work with external compression devices.
