Opportunities Available in Our Finance Department Elliott Tool Technologies is seeking an Accountant who enjoys solving customer challenges and managing and maintaining financial records, and who is looking to further their knowledge and skills. If you’re ready to do work that really matters, we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Do Learn from the top by working directly with our CFO and fully cross-trained with the Finance team. Support financial operations by assisting the CFO and Assistant Controller with journal entries and preparation of balance sheets. Analyze financial data and collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret data and resolve discrepancies. Maintain billing accuracy by auditing Sales Orders for correct documentation (POs, tax exemptions, and AP contact information). Manage customer credit and risk . Facilitate month-end and year-end close and assist in preparing regularly scheduled financial reports. Communicate professionally with internal customers and external vendors by phone, in person, and electronically. Support the Finance team by providing general support to the department and perform other duties as assigned. Why Choose Elliott Tool? What a Typical Day Looks Like Your morning starts in the AP inbox. You match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receipts in the ERP, code them to the general ledger, and catch a duplicate invoice before it gets paid. You apply yesterday’s customer payments, prepare the cash receipts for deposit, and pull together the weekly payment run for the CFO’s approval. Midday, a supplier calls about a past-due invoice. You trace it to a missing receiver, get it cleared with Purchasing, and pay it in time to keep our early-payment discount. In the afternoon you shift gears: a vendor spend analysis you built shows we are buying the same consumable from three suppliers, and you propose consolidating to one for better pricing and fewer invoices to process. You close the day by updating the cash forecast and prepping the KPI slides for the Managers’ Meeting. At Elliott, you don’t just process invoices. Education: BSc or BA in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred. GAAP Knowledge: You understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and apply them in your work. Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or related software. Organized: Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize your work. Detail-Oriented: You track the details, solve problems, and get it right the first time.
