Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Block scheduling is generally not available. Holiday time off will be considered but is not guaranteed; unit managers make the final call on scheduling.

Unit Details: The patient population has a cardiac focus with general overflow; common drips include stable, non-titrating Cardizem, Amio, and heparin. The unit does not care for ventilated patients. A hospitalist or intensivist is in house. No IV team is available. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy is available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend is required. Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s), with holiday shifts rotating with core staff. Extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but schedules are not finalized until the manager balances them. Schedules are released 4 weeks in advance. Travelers can access their schedules from home, make themselves available for extra shifts, and trade with other staff.

Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float to MedSurg and Tele.

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
