Accounting Assistant

Overview We are a small manufacturing and distribution company providing products to the hospitality and confection industries, and we are looking for an experienced accounting assistant to join our close‑knit team. Responsibilities Support both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions, prepare journal entries, and assist in month‑end close procedures. Prepare financial reports and analysis, maintain accurate and organized financial documentation, and provide support for payroll processing. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and perform adhoc tasks and projects assigned by the accounting manager or ownership. Qualifications Previous experience in an accounting or finance role. Preferred: bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience also considered. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, and comfort learning and navigating enterprise‑level software. Strong communication skills, excellent organization, sharp time management, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment while working effectively both independently and as part of a team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
