As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Monitoring in CHANNAHON , IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge issuance, monitor alarm panels, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry records, and report access discrepancies in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, business operations, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
