1st Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Range: Based on Experience (Direct Hire)

Summary: The Tool and Die Maker will set up and operate machine tools and fabricate high-precision components for metalworking dies according to blueprints. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and improve tooling performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will also perform scheduled die maintenance, repair faults/damage, using manual, CNC machines, and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill press, and EDM machines.
• Machine, fit, and assemble precision tooling and verify conformance to drawing specifications.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth mics, indicators, pin gauges, thread gauges, and functional gauges.
• Troubleshoot dies and recommend design improvements.
• Maintain accurate tooling documentation and records.
• Assist in troubleshooting die issues in operation to maintain quality and production.
• Work closely with engineers and other production staff to ensure that the tools and dies they produce meet the needs of the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Tool and Die Maker

Personal skills:

• Exposure in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
• Good working knowledge of standard shop mathematics.
• Able to read and interpret technical prints, sketches, and design models.
• Knowledge of metal and other material properties.
• Ability to self-motivate and possess independent problem solving.
• PC skills (MS Office applications Excel, Word)
