Surgical Technician (SEIU)

description :

Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies. This position is represented by SEIU.

requirement :

Variable Shift, 4 x 10s, no specific off days. Start times 6:30am or 8:30am. Call one night per week and one weekend per month. 2 years of experience with Ortho, GYN, Spine, Plastics, ENT, and General.Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredSix months of OR experience or completed Scrub Tech course: RequiredLicenses/Certifications:Surgery Technician certification: PreferredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFacility Specific License/Certifications:AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
