Paving Laborer (Operator)

Assurd Excavating Inc. Asphalt Laborer/OperatorAssured Excavating Inc. is seeking a hardworking and dependable Asphalt Laborer/Operator to join our team. The Asphalt Laborer/Operator will assist with the construction, repair, and maintenance of asphalt surfaces such as roads, driveways, and parking lots. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of surfaces for asphalt application, including grading and compacting.Spread, rake, and smooth hot asphalt to ensure proper compaction and finish.Operate hand tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, tampers, and wheelbarrows.Match and finish freshly made asphalt joints evenlyLevel & adjust surface irregularities, restore surface finish, spread asphalt to proper grade and finish before compactionAssist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Work closely with the paving crew to ensure smooth and efficient asphalt application.Assist with traffic control as needed.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.Follow all company safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.RequirementsPrevious experience in asphalt paving/operating, construction, or a related field is required.Ability to work long hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as necessary.Physically able to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs), bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat and cold.Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and a positive attitude.BenefitsOur employees and their well-being are important to us.
