Tyson Eye has been providing exceptional service in SWFL for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to assist on Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday in our Accredited Surgery Center in Cape Coral. He/she is the patient advocate and assures that quality care is administered. This position will report to the ASC Manager. Education and Job Experience: Registered and must have their license to practice in the state of Florida. Maintain re-licensure requirements. One-year OR experience preferred. Experience in a surgical specialty, ICU or related field preferred. BLS and ACLS certified. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Plans for patient care. Oversees the Patient Care Technician. Assists in the proper preparation of supplies, equipment and medication involved in patient care. Administers medication as ordered and according to facility and DEA policy and procedures. Makes post-operative telephone calls. Starts and discontinues intravenous lines and documents appropriately. Regulates and documents infusion. Performs treatments and/or procedures as instructed. Establish nursing goals based on nursing diagnosis and evaluate outcome. Assists in organizing and developing policies and procedures and plans for improvement.
