Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a Level 1 Trauma Center in a critical care setting, requiring 2 years of full lifespan respiratory experience.

Job Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 273 beds,
• Respiratory Therapy Services: Pulmonary unit,
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric respiratory patients,
• 1:1 patient ratios,
• 12-hour day shifts with hours varying between 6a-6p and 10a-10p,
• 36 standard hours per week,
• Weekend rotation every other weekend,
• No on-call requirements,
• Potential floating to other hospitals within the Patient Service Area based on contract,
• Uses Epic charting system,
• Ventilators include PB840, PB980, Servo-U, and Hamilton,
• CPAP/BiPAP equipment includes V60s, ResMed, and RemStar,
• Utilizes Optiflow and Hamilton transport vents,

Job Requirements

• Active RT license required if applicable,
• Minimum 2 years of experience across full lifespan patient populations (peds, adults, and geriatrics),
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (AHA),
• RRT or CRT certification required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Experience with trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, and proning techniques required,
• ECMO and critical care experience required,
• Experience with ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention required,
• Experience with spontaneous breathing trials and ABG draws required,
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,
• Candidate's middle name/initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration,

• One day of orientation provided on the unit,
