Role Description The Salesperson role at Micron America is a part-time, on-site position based at the Paterson, NJ distribution center. In this role, the Salesperson engages directly with existing and prospective customers, explains product features and benefits, and recommends fastening solutions that fit specific industry needs. Daily activities include responding to inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records in the company’s sales systems. The Salesperson collaborates with operations and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery and follow-up, and supports inventory awareness by staying informed about product availability and new offerings. The role also involves identifying sales opportunities, participating in outreach activities, and contributing to the overall customer satisfaction and growth of Micron America. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a professional, service-oriented approach. Sales and negotiation abilities, with experience in prospecting, closing deals, and maintaining long-term client relationships. Basic knowledge of industrial or manufacturing products, preferably in fasteners or hardware, or a willingness to learn technical product details. Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple inquiries, orders, and follow-ups efficiently. Comfort with using computers and common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or order-entry systems). Ability to work on-site in Paterson, NJ, including standing or walking in a warehouse or showroom environment as needed. Prior experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or customer service is preferred but not required.
